Challenge
When people in the community depend upon the website to be available and accessible to plan their leisure time, uptime is one of the highest priorities.
Solution
We incorporated multiple levels of site redundancy and scalability for hosting this site via Amazon Web Services. When traffic surges, new servers spin up automatically to meet the demand. Traffic is then load balanced to be directed to the different servers, and sits securely behind a web application firewall, protecting them from various attack vectors
Result
They have now been hosted with us for years with zero major outages or downtime. Approximately 3.5 million requests, and close to a million pages served per month.
