Employee Spotlight: Eric Andrychow

This Month’s Spotlight: Eric Andrychow – Senior Consultant

From Hardware Repairs to Trusted Advisor

Eric’s path into IT began with hands-on hardware work, repairing laptops, desktops, and printers for major brands like HP, Compaq, and Toshiba. His career took a major step forward when he joined national firm Inacom Information Systems, where he specialized in network support and large-scale server and desktop rollouts. The role also gave him the opportunity to relocate from South Florida to Colorado—a move that would shape the rest of his career.

For over 20 years now, Eric has been a key part of Common Knowledge Technology, growing alongside the firm and its clients. His journey is a testament to adaptability, persistence, and a true love for the ever-changing world of IT.

Building Relationships Through Technology

As a Senior Consultant, Eric manages clients across the Denver metro area and oversees remote offices for several others. His role is both technical and personal—solving IT challenges while forging long-term relationships. “I like playing a role at many different types of businesses,” he says. “Over the years, I’ve met many people who became good friends.”

What Fuels the Passion

Eric thrives on variety, both in the challenges he tackles and the people he works with. His career has given him a front-row seat to business growth across industries, and he finds energy in being part of those stories. The constant evolution of technology keeps him curious, and the friendships he’s built along the way keep him grounded.

Childhood Dreams and New Directions

As a kid, Eric dreamed of being an astronaut. Later, the idea of becoming a firefighter captured his imagination. While life took him down a very different path, that sense of adventure and service has stayed with him.

His hobbies reflect the same mix of challenge and exploration. For nearly two decades, Eric competed in national pool and billiards leagues, qualifying five times for tournaments in Las Vegas. In recent years, his focus has shifted toward the world of Bitcoin, where he’s immersed himself in everything from macroeconomics to technical analysis.

Inspirations and Unique Perspectives

One of Eric’s greatest inspirations is Satoshi Nakamoto, whose creation of Bitcoin has profoundly shaped how Eric thinks about technology, economics, and the future. His curiosity and openness to new ideas extend far beyond IT, giving him a unique perspective both inside and outside the workplace.

Favorites That Reveal Character

  • Superhero: (still TBD — but we suspect someone with a strong sense of justice and curiosity might top the list)
  • Books: One Second After by William Forstchen (Fiction) and Future Crimes by Marc Goodman (Non-fiction)
  • Movie: Hot Shots (a reminder of his playful sense of humor)
  • Food: Indian food—though he admits he enjoys just about everything
  • Places to Visit: Wellington Lake and Lake McConaughy for camping trips, or almost anywhere in the Mediterranean for longer adventures

In His Own Words

“I’ve been fortunate to work with so many different businesses and people over the years. The technology side is exciting, but it’s the friendships I’ve made along the way that mean the most.”

Closing Thoughts

From hardware repairs to becoming a trusted Senior Consultant, Eric’s career reflects both technical expertise and a people-first approach. His passion for learning, whether in IT, billiards, or Bitcoin, makes him a dynamic and thoughtful member of the team. We’re grateful for his two decades of dedication and excited to see what’s ahead.
